When I choose Gold Coast Securities
as my Asset Managers, does it mean I invest
in Gold Coast Securities?
No. Choosing us as your Asset Managers only
means you invest through our company. Our
responsibility is to manage your
investments, advice you and provide you with
account details of your investments.

Can I choose an Asset Manager
without necessarily channeling my
investments through him?
Yes you can. However, such a decision makes
the management of your investments
difficult. It is always preferable to
channel your investments through your Asset
Manager

How safe are my investments if I
decide to channel them through Gold Coast
Securities?
The safety of your investments are
guaranteed by the following
· Gold Coast Securities is a Licensed
Dealing Member of the Ghana Stock Exchange
and is therefore constantly monitored by
that institution
· Gold Coast Securities is licensed and
regulated by the Securities and Exchange
Commission.
· Financial and Investment analysts working
with the company are also licensed by the
Securities and Exchange Commission and their
conduct is constantly scrutinized by the
Commission
· Lastly, Gold Coast Securities is licensed
and regulated by the Bank of Ghana

Will I pay any fees or charges when
Gold Coast manages my assets?
Yes, you will. Gold Coast Securities charges
fees for managing clients’ assets. The fee
is reviewed annually and is normally small
percentage of the total value of funds under
management.

How easy is it to subscribe to this
management service?
It is very easy to subscribe to this
service. You fill a form and lodge the
amount you wish to invest. Management of
your assets starts the very day you invest
your money through us. For investments in
Treasury bills you need as little as
˘50,000. Your investments in shares will
depend on the quantity and price of the
shares that you wish to buy.

How easy is it to recover my money?
The ease with which you can recover your
money depends on the assets that make up
your portfolio. With treasury bill
investments, your money will be available to
you the next day after receipt of your
request. With shares, we would have to sell
your shares before you can recoup your money

Que. Can I invest for shorter
periods?
Ans. Yes, you can! To meet investors desire
to invest for shorter periods and encourage
more flexibility, Gold Coast securities has
developed a financial Instrument called the
SHORT-DATED TREASURY INVESTMENT PRODUCT. You
can thus invest for 15, 20, 25, 30 days etc.
instead of the prevailing 91 and 182 days.
The product is a convenient form of
investment for investors who cannot tie in
their monies for 91 days.

Que. How much would I earn when my
investments mature?
Ans. How much you earn will depend on the
amount you invested and the maturity period
of your investment. The return is roughly
calculated as
((Amount invested x discount rate) *
(maturity period/365))

Que. Do I have to open a Bank
Account before buying Treasury bills?
Ans. No. there is no need for a bank account
before you buy treasury bills from Gold
Coast securities.

Que. Do I have to pay fees for services
rendered?
Ans. No. all services provided by Gold coast
Securities are free for treasury bills. Gold
Coast Securities, like all other Primary
Distributors, receives commission from the
Bank of Ghana.
